Ok, so this weekend me, my dad, my friend, his brother, and his brothers friend went down to waynoka. My dad reserved spot at a camp site called Duces Wiled, and it was GREAT! Its a new place right on the edge of town which is owned by a lady and her boyfriend. The campsite is close to the dunes and to town, the owners are really friendly, and its really clean and quiet. One of the down sides on it is that its a bit of a ride on ur bike or buggy to the dunes...

If anyone is planning to stay in the Waynoka area, I would advise camping, or driving to Alva for a motel. The Trails Inn & Suites is an absolute embarrassment to the City of Waynoka. I have stayed there two times this year. Both times I have had to clean the toilet of urine & pubic hair BEFORE my family & I could use it. The showers are absolutely filthy and don't drain, so at the end of the day on the dunes you're ankle deep in your dirt, and the dirt of the previous tenant. This time I brought my own towels & wash clothes because all of theirs smell and are discolored. And, if you ask for more towels they want $5/set. And, you get all of this in a two-double bed room for $89.95 per night. Some friends of mine got the king bed room with the sleeper sofa for their child. The manager wanted another $5/night for USING the sleeper sofa and $5/night for the sheets for the sleeper sofa. Don't bother complaining about the cleanliness, or lack thereof, to the manager. She'll tell you it's the fault of the staff, but nothing EVER gets done about it. I had the same dead bugs, pubic hairs, and dust bunnies laying under the bathroom sink all three nights we were there.

NEVER AGAIN!!!
