
Business Tax Workshop
A FREE workshop entitled “Small Business Tax Workshop” will be sponsored by the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center on Wednesday Sept. 7, 2011. The workshop will be held on the NWOSU Woodward Campus located at 2007 34th St. Workshop hours are 9 a.m. to noon. This workshop is designed to benefit self-employed persons, small business owners and those interested in starting a business. The presenter at this workshop will be Dewey Brandon from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Brandon is the Director of Taxpayer Services and Education for the OTC. Some of the subjects to be covered include: applying for a sales tax permit, forms completion, which taxes you are responsible for, record keeping requirements and how and when to ask for help with tax problems. While there is no cost for this workshop, pre-registration is requested so that we can have adequate materials for attendees. Please call to register by Sept. 2 at 580-327-8608.
